It all started in high school, when Chris took some art and silk screen printing classes and began to gain some experience screen printing custom t-shirts. During the three years of screen printing experience he gained in high school, Chris always had in the back of his mind, “I can do this on my own”, and so the idea for BigPlanetApparel was born (it would be a few more years until the business officially opened).

After high school, Chris studied Visual Communications at the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center in Brownstown PA. As he continued to study, clients started asking him to do some custom silk screen printing jobs for them. “Word got around that I do custom screen printing and I started getting a few jobs here and there,” says Chris. After college, Chris found himself on an adventure in Costa Rica, walking in the Poas Volcano. Naturally, he began to reflect on his life and to consider his goals for the future. At that moment, with his silk screen printing work at the forefront of his mind, Chris realized that he wanted his screen printing business to be a local business with a world wide appeal. Once back in the U.S., Chris began setting up shop. By 2008, he bought the equipment he needed to get started, and using the knowledge and skills he gained over the years, he continued his custom silk screen printing work.

Today, Chris continues to do high-quality screen printing jobs for organizations and businesses, mostly in the Lancaster PA area.
